SAU 29

UPDATE  October 2021

Good Afternoon,

After a short hiatus and a significant formatting change, we are relaunching the regular updates that we have been providing to keep all of our students, families, staff, and community members informed.

The intent is to provide information in an easy to follow format with links to access further information (as available) for those that desire to read further.

We have heard the feedback from folks that feel overwhelmed with all of the emails and information that is filling their inboxes, as well as those that have been appreciative of those efforts.  The reality is that providing information through multiple platforms is a best practice.

In general, this monthly update will contain information that is relevant across multiple and/or all of our schools.  There may be occasions when a specific school is highlighted, but individual school sites also send out newsletters that are relevant to only that school.

With that, I would like to commend all of our schools and communities on a successful opening to the new school year!  Many folks have worked extremely hard to provide as smooth of an opening as possible...and the result of that effort was AWESOME!

Those efforts continue as we continue

to work and maintain the safest learning environment that we can.  With our county at the substantial level of transmission, it will continue to be a concentrated effort from all of us.  Your assistance in reinforcing safety protocols at the school sites is greatly appreciated!

We have been and continue to follow the guidance from NHDHHS. Some of that guidance varies from CDC guidance. Please note that the NHDHHS guidance is provided in response to what is happening here in New Hampshire, while the CDC guidance is provided in response to what is happening across the country as a whole.  To view all of the resources NHDHHS has made available to schools, please visit their site here.

Please continue to reach out to your child(ren)’s teachers, counselors and Principals with any questions or concerns that you may have.  We all want the best for all of our students and that open communication is one step we can all make in getting there.

And in the meantime, please continue to stay well.

School meals remain free to all students for the 2021-2022 school year and include the reimbursable eligible meal for both lunch and breakfast.

If you are interested in making a difference in local education, please consider joining our team.  In these challenging times it’s difficult to staff all our positions.  You can make a difference!  There are positions available in many of our schools, and some positions allow you to make your own schedule and work when it’s convenient for you. Our Substitute and Tutor positions do not require previous experience.  We will provide you with the training needed.  Please visit our website at today and complete an application.  Our new substitute pay rates are located hereContact the SAU 29 Human Resources Department at [email protected] with questions.

Special Education

The needs of students with disabilities are enormously important.  As always, your first point of contact is your child’s special education teacher or building principal.  Please reach out to them anytime and share your thoughts.  You may also contact the Student Services Offices at SAU 29 at 357-9001 extension 230 or email [email protected].  The Student Service’s office is open from Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  We want to hear from you, Thank you!
