Friday, 3/26/2021 - SAU29 COVID-19 Update

Good Afternoon and Happy Friday!

A couple of brief updates before we head into the weekend.

  1. Our Comprehensive Plan has been amended to reflect the updated guidance that has been provided by our state health officials.  I have included the links for both a document with only the sections that were updated and a complete copy of the entire plan.  This guidance will continue to drive our ability to increase onsite opportunities for all of our students.

  2. As of 9 am this morning, we have been able to account for 100% of the more than 550 staff members that have indicated they would like to receive the vaccine for COVID-19.  Please note that this also includes our transportation providers as well. Our staff members have either received their first dose, been scheduled to receive their first dose through our partnership with the Greater Mondanock Public Health Network, or have made arrangements on their own through the state’s VINI system. That’s an impressive turnaround in less than 2 weeks as we began in earnest with first doses being administered on March 13th.  A special thank you to all of the volunteers at the Krif Road location for their efforts and to the GMPHN for leading the charge!

  3. Lastly, a gentle reminder that as the weather continues to improve we need to continue to be diligent in our efforts to prevent further spread of the virus. As the vaccinations are being administered full speed ahead, masking and distancing reportedly continue to be our best defense on that front.  Please exercise your best judgement when planning activities and events for you and your family so that we can collectively and directly impact the level of transmission in our communities.  We’re not out of the woods yet, but we are definitely one day closer!

I hope that you each have a wonderful weekend and are able to enjoy some of the favorable weather that is forecast for our towns.

Be Well and Happy Friday!
